A ministry of the United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
Statement of Mission and Purpose
We are a fellowship of faith bearing witness to the eternal love, compassion and mercy of God for the lives of all people. As a Christ-centered community, we believe that:
Peace, justice and unconditional welcome unite strangers as the Beloved Community.
Creativity and acknowledgement of many traditions inspire us to widen God’s table.
Offering our gifts and celebrating those of others brings joy and love to those in need.
Replacing greed and empire with hospitality and community draws us closer to each other and the kin-dom of God.
In following the teachings of Jesus Christ, we commit to:
Meet regularly together to listen to, share with, hope for and hold those who are struggling or seeking spiritual growth and community.
Work within our community to sow the seeds of God’s love.
Speak out for those who have no voice, and in support of all that is righteous, courageous and true.
Worship the living God as best we are able according to our own gifts, talents, personal stories and experience.
In doing so, we affirm the life-giving love of God that creates and sustains every person and calls unrelentingly for a world grounded in joy, compassion, peace and love.
We are an Open & Affirming and Anti-Racist congregation with full standing in the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
